Délifrance reached Asian soils in 1983, when it established its presence in Singapore through its master franchisee, Délifrance Asia Ltd. Initially set up as a manufacturer of bakery products for wholesale customers, the company decided to branch into the retail business to satisfy growing demand for its high quality products.

Bistro Délifrance is the place to be if one craves for French gourmet hot meals, signature sandwiches and desserts at any time of the day. Based on the casual dining concept, the Bistro with its chic interior and layout, lends a feeling of ease and comfort to its customers. For lighter dishes such as signature sandwiches and premium French bakery products, one can opt for Délifrance Café, which offers a self-serve menu based on its café bakery concept. At certain outlets, this café model is refined through a retail image-enhancement programme with an improved ordering system that allows customers to save time by placing their orders at the counter before being served at their tables.
Besides the two new retail concepts, Délifrance still maintains its wholesale business. It also acts as a distributor to an ever-expanding circle of clientele including hotels, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, airlines and ship chandlers, supplying a comprehensive range of products from European par-baked frozen breads to viennoiseries and savouries.
Achievements
Backed by these successful concepts, Délifrance Asia has grown from a humble manufacturing outlet into a network of over 230 outlets spread across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China and Sri Lanka. As a testament to Delifrance’s superb achievements, it was recognised in The Malaysian Book of Records 2002 as the largest café bakery chain in Malaysia.
