Secret Recipe Franchise Business Opportunity

Homegrown Recipe - Fine Quality Cakes.

Secret Recipe Franchise Business Opportunity
Secret Recipe was in a class of its own when it was first established in 1997. Back in those days, it was neither a bakery nor a café. Combining both concepts was a brilliant idea, which propelled Secret Recipe to the forefront of the food and beverage industry. With fine quality cakes, fusion food and distinctive service as its core strategy, Secret Recipe has already developed a winning recipe for success. As the leading and the largest café chain in Malaysia, Secret Recipe appeals to everyone in society.

Winning recipe
There are currently 160 Secret Recipe outlets all over Malaysia, serving over 20 types of fusion food, 40 different types of cake creations and an assortment of pastries, designer ice creams and beverages. The Secret Recipe business formula has been successfully replicated internationally, with 50 of its outlets located in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and China registering strong growth. It is already in the midst of setting up in Pakistan and Brunei, and will be venturing into Australia soon.

I wish to make a complain about your The Weld outlet, its very badly run and managed. Your staff could not be bothered about the quality of food and they are all just gossiping and entertaining themselves. Even if the food served is burnt, it doesnt interest them and the customer is queried as to how bad can the food be and with a horrible glare, he says “And whats wrong with the curry puff? Its like this”…I replied that “Cant u see that the ends are burnt and when I bit into it, its bitter”, what kind of quality is Secret Recipe offering. You are overstaffed and all they do is gossip and laugh. Please do the needful, I visit your outlet nearly everyday and its horrible.

Been patronizing your restaurant for years….but recently quite a nos. of your outlets are very terrible!!!

The one in JALAN BURHANUDDIN HELMI, TTDI do have a attitude problems…there was this waiter who was so reluctant to serve, and made the “ze” sound when we asked for something..(my kids and I were shocked!!). They are always so sloppy and “busy” with cell phones!!

Your restaurant are always so cosy and nice but yesterday we went to the one in 1U, wah…the waiters were so slow, the kitchen staff was shouting and singing so loud (spoilt the atmosphere..) and we were served with plastic spoons!!! The coffee served were cold!! (No one wants to serve it, just leave it on the counter).

Do look into these..cant find a place to launch the complains…hope u look into these

P.S. Me and my family, especially my 3 gals who like your cakes sooo muchhh!!! Tks

I am Canadian, and I would like to what legal and regulations requirements to import a franchise of fast food company into Malaysia from Canada?

  • Stanley Lim

The service of Secret Recipe is terrible and what you guys have complained above are nothing new. Just take away their yummy cake instead of sitting and wasting your time in the restaurant.

One thing that wonder me is if Secret Recipe is so successful in setting up their business, why can’t they rectify the staffing problems ???

Hello, I’m quite interested to open a franchise in Brunei Darussalam. Might i get guidance on how to do this?

But i am a bit clueless on what to do and knowing what the costs are. I’m a fresh graduate and currently in Brunei, it seems that there aren’t any secret recipe shops in Brunei, i see strong potential business here.

    Please reply to emailinsan@gmail.com
Seriously interested and committed to do this.

I would like to know more detail on the cost and process involved for a new Secret Recipe outlet. I’ve already found a strategic location with high current density. Located in Section 18, Ipoh, Perak and next to upcoming Jaya JUsco, I believed it will be the best location for a new outlet of Secret Recipe. Please give me further info. TQ

Secret Recipe only answers to questions on opening their franchise. They are not interested in rectifying the problems you find at their restaurants as they are all franchised. The sloppy waiters, the lazy kitchen staff etc. The waiters done care to inform that they are out of prawns or etc when they take your orders. When the food arrives and you point out that there are no prawns, they just say that there is an additional fishcake in the noodles.

The owners are cutting corners and giving the patrons less for their money. The Founders are just interested in raking in money from the franchise fees and that’s it. Most returning patrons just go for drinks and first timers are always disappointed with their meals.

The staff are all half baked and lack skills and training t inform and take orders. Check out the Mid Valley one - always out of stock reply and that’s after taking your order on a lazy day.

One Shitty restaurant still riding on their newspaper cuttings and trying to fool investors
